About Me

Educator, traveler, puzzle solver, explorer, amateur woodworker, performer, marathon runner, magician, concert goer, guitar player; I have a passion for learning and a deep love of trying new things. Whether I’m traveling to a different country to participate in a new cultural experience or running a path in Brooklyn that gives me a view of the city most people miss; I love pushing outside of my comfort zone and opening my mind to new perspectives. I believe this drive has helped me to take the perspectives, experiences, and goals of the learners I design for into account, because I’m a life-long learner myself.

I’m also very passionate about picking up new and varied skills. I feel that life is most joyous when I feel creatively fulfilled; which can take the form of performing on stage, showing off a mind-bending card trick, solving a particularly challenging puzzle box, or learning a new software tool. I feel that each new thing I learn; whether related to instructional design or not, builds a toolkit in me that can translate to my work. No problem is insurmountable, its just a puzzle waiting for a creative solution. No task is impossible, its just a trick waiting for a clever method.

I’m very fortunate to have the support of my wonderful family. My wife Panagiota, my son Grayson, and our pup Percy are constant sources of inspiration. They constantly push me to be my best self (in my dog’s case, he constantly pushes me to give him bacon). Whether traveling the world, or wandering Prospect Park, I am so energized by my family and the love and support we share.
